Alternatively, if you want more adventure during your stay in Kota Kinabalu, you could consider a RAID Try-Dive Experience and try scuba diving along coral reefs near Kota Kinabalu.Trip Itinerary – Padas River White Water Rafting, Sabah, Borneo05:20 hrs: You will be picked up from your hotel in central Kota Kinabalu and transferred by minivan/coach to Beaufort Railway Station, located around 90 km south of Kota Kinabalu, heading towards the Sabah-Sarawak border on the Island of Borneo. 07:30 hrs: Arrive at Beaufort railway station. You will have time to change into your rafting outfit at Beaufort Train Station (alternatively, you can wear your rafting clothes when you join the trip). At 7:45 hrs, you will board the train and then depart for Pangi station. Enjoy breathtaking views of the landscapes during your train journey.09:45 hrs: Arrive at Pangi station. The Riverbug Padas rafting team will greet you. Light refreshments will be served. You are welcome to use the toilet facilities here.10:15 hrs: You will go to the Padas rafting starting point, a short walk from the station, and prepare for the rafting activity. You’ll join a safety briefing before you start rafting. The rafting will then commence along the Padas River from the starting point and will take about 1 1⁄2 hours to 2 hours (10km), including 8 points of rapids as you raft down Padas Gorge. The Padas white water rafting activity will be faster / slower depending on the flow of the River (and whether it is at a High, Medium, or Low water level).~ 12:30 hrs: You have made it! Congratulations on completing the Padas white water rafting ride. You will arrive at the Padas rafting ending point (Rayoh station). Ask your hotel for a packed breakfast to be ready for you to collect before your pick-up time.Sometimes the train may break down on the day of your trip (as it is an old train). If this happens, your transfer route on the day will be adapted, and an alternative train route will be used. Your Guide / Driver will brief you if this is the case for your trip. As such, please ensure that you don’t have a flight to catch after your Padas white water rafting trip, as the return time will vary depending on the train condition and the current water level.For the Padas white water rafting activity, you must have trimmed fingernails and toenails.
